A Historic and Memorable Ritual
Guests witness the opening of a Vintage Port bottle using traditional red-hot iron tongs. This historic technique was originally used to open aged bottles with fragile corks. Today, it has become one of the most striking traditions in Port wine culture.
After heating the neck of the bottle, cold water is applied, creating a clean break in the glass and a visually dramatic and memorable moment for guests.
